I was so excited when I received the email from Justin confirming that he and his beautiful fiance, Elyna wanted me to capture their special day. Their wedding day.
June 2, 2018 arrived, and there was a slight chance of rain on that hot and muggy day at Rock Creek Farm in Gallatin, TN. I headed up to take photos of the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready in the bridal suite, and then it was time for the first look. Elyna, looking out of the second story window, was so concerned that Justin was outside waiting for her in the heat, and of course he didn’t have his phone on him, so we couldn’t tell him that it would only be a few more minutes. We finally made it outside, where Elyna started to tear up on her way to meet her groom. Justin was awestruck by the beauty of his bride, and you could clearly see the love between them.
After the first look, we took pictures of the bridal party in their powder blue dresses and grey tuxedos, with dark clouds looming overhead. Luckily we got the shots we needed and headed inside as the first drops of rain started to fall. We had about 15-20 minutes until the wedding was supposed to start, and the guests were starting to arrive. They started huddling under the front porch, and we were all worried that the ceremony would have to be moved under the reception pavilion. Luckily, just as we were heading outside, the rain stopped, the clouds parted, and the sun came out to shine on this glorious day.
The ceremony, officiated by Justin’s father, was sweet and beautiful, and even had an unexpected “contribution” in the form of a loud “MOO!!!” from one of the cows in the next pasture.
After the ceremony, guests headed to the grand pavilion where they enjoyed a meal consisting of the most delicious, cheesy mashed potatoes I’ve ever tasted.
All eyes were on the bride and groom as they swayed to their first dance as husband and wife.
Guests were able to play corn hole on the lawn and take funny photos in the photo booth. And we can’t forget the dancing!
Elyna and Justin ended the night with a fun sparkler send off!
I wish the new Mr. and Mrs. McMoran a lifetime of happiness and love. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you!
